Viola M. Creswick

Viola M. Creswick, 87, passed away peacefully in Sun City Center, Fla., on August 12, 2013.  She was married to Ed Creswick for 43 happy years.

Viola is survived by her husband Ed of Sun City Center; son Bruce Colby of Sarasota, Fla.; daughter Lorin Carcich of Hasbrouck Heights, N.J.; and stepdaughter Sue Gordon of Sarasota. She was so very proud of her grandchildren: Lisa, Angela, April, Lori, Michele, Michael and Robert. Viola also loved playing with her nine great-grandchildren.

Viola was born in Masbeth, N.Y., on August 16, 1927, and lived in Paramus, N.J., before moving to Florida. She worked in the banking and finance industry and volunteered for many organizations throughout her life.

Viola was always an upbeat and positive “people person” who loved everyone and always brought out the best in people. She was kindhearted, compassionate and a true “hero” to her family — an inspiration to all. We all agree the world lost a wonderful role model and that heaven will now be a better place.

A Memorial Service will be celebrated at 2 p.m. on Monday, Aug. 24, at the United Methodist Church, 1210 W. Del Webb Blvd., SCC. In lieu of flowers, donations in her name and memory may be sent to Sun City Center Emergency Squad, 720 Ray Watson Drive, SCC, FL 33573.
