Odessa Moss, 102, of Sun City Center, Fla., passed away August 11, 2015 She was born Aug. 23, 1912, in Tifton, Ga., the daughter of Walter and Lila Summer McDonald
She spent a good part of her adult life in the Winter Haven area and was married to Phillip Butler Moss. They had one son, Phillip Walter Moss, who passed away in 2002.
She moved to Apollo Beach in 1976, where she was closer to her grandchildren. She is survived by grandchildren Elizabeth Whidden, Lisa Hast, Phillip Moss and Susan Moss, as well as 11 great-grandchildren.
Services will be held at 10:30 a.m. Aug. 21, 2015, at National Cremation and Burial Society, 308 E. College Ave. in Ruskin. Burial will be held immediately following the services at Lakeside Memorial Park, 2450 U.S. 17 North in Winter Haven.
