Doris J. Shultz, 85, formerly of Montoursville, Pa., and a 30-year resident of Sun City Center, Fla., died on August 12, 2015, at Muncy Valley Skilled Nursing Center in Pennsylvania. She was born June 16, 1930, in Harrisburg, Pa., the daughter of Samuel and Lucille McCollum.
She was a member of Sun City Center United Methodist Church, and was a Life Master in bridge, her great enjoyment.
Preceding her in death were husband Robert L. Shultz Sr. and brother Samuel McCollum.
Surviving are son Robert L. (Suzanne) Shultz II of Monument, Colo.; daughter Susan S. (Garth) Everett of Muncy, Pa.; sister Betty of Harrisburg; grandchildren Megan Everett, Jessica (Patrick) Amie, Corinne (Matt) McLaughlin and Emily (Brad) Hochmiller; and great-grandchildren Riley and Nolan McLaughlin.
A memorial service will be announced at a later date and there will be no visitation.
In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to the Sun City Center United Methodist Church, 1210 W. Del Webb Blvd., Sun City Center, FL 33573.
Arrangements are being handled by Spitler Funeral Home, Montoursville.

Raymond Henry (Ray) Weisgerber was born in Queens, N.Y., on October 14, 1931. He spent most of his life in the New York area before retiring to Sun City Center 20 years ago with the love of his life, Joy Dunne.
Ray was a proud 1953 graduate of the U.S. Merchant Marine Academy at Kings Point, N.Y., where he first developed his lifelong love of the sea. After his service in the Navy, Ray earned a Master of Science degree in Mechanical Engineering from Columbia University while working full time. He remained in the Naval Reserve and retired as a Lieutenant Commander.
He joined Honeywell Inc. in 1960 and remained with that company until he retired, moving up the ranks from salesman to regional manager and finally to general manager and vice president of three divisions. He took pride in his ability to take on a new division and, in short order, turn it from a loss leader to a profit center. Ray was a man of few words, but he did love to tell jokes and often had a twinkle in his eye.
During their early years in Sun City, Ray and Joy enjoyed both golf and bridge. While he took great satisfaction in both, he was perhaps never happier than when he and Joy were cruising around the world. The port no longer mattered; they’d seen them all. He was happy simply sitting on the deck and gazing out to sea with Joy by his side. Their 34 years together were the happiest of his life.
Ray was preceded in death by his parents, Mary (“Mae”) Agnes Hess and Henry Charles Weisgerber; and his wife, Maxine Yvonne (Davison) Weisgerber.
He is survived by Joy Dunne; daughter Mary Weisgerber and husband Milard Roper; daughter Karen Weisgerber and husband Alex Brown; granddaughters Emma and Cate Brown; and cousins Edward and Robert Hess.
A memorial service was held Aug. 15 at Zipperer’s Funeral Home.
