Elizabeth June (Schlesinger) Cherbonneaux, 85, of Ruskin, Fla., passed away Tuesday, September 22, 2015.

Visitation will be held from 5 to 7 p.m. on Saturday, October 3, at Anderson McQueen Family Tribute Center, 2201 Dr. MLK Jr. Street North, St. Petersburg, FL 33704. Ceremony will be held at Anderson McQueen at 10 a.m. on Sunday, October 4. Burial will follow the ceremony at Memorial Park Cemetery.

Elizabeth was ordained as a Minister of the Universal Church of the Master in 1985 and provided spiritual help to many over the years. She traveled to India and Nepal, and met with Madam Indira Gandhi, Herakhan Babba and Ram Dass.

Elizabeth was born in New Brunswick, N.J., on Oct. 30, 1929. She attended parochial schools in New Jersey and St. Petersburg High School. Elizabeth was married to Maxwell J. Cherbonneaux Jr. on Dec. 26, 1948; they were married for 67 years.

Elizabeth is survived by husband Maxwell J. Cherbonneaux Jr.; son A.J. Max Cherbonneaux; daughter Leslie Cherbonneaux; grandchildren Adrienne  (Greene) Frances and Max Cherbonneaux; great-grandchildren Ray Anne Youngblood, Laura Sanner, Emily  Sanner, Shannon Frances, Anne Frances, Dalton Cherbonneaux and Nathan Cherbonneaux; cousin Elke Hunder; nieces Teresa Clawson, Carol Boland, Deborah Eddinger and Valerie Maxted; nephews Jim Cherbonneaux, Jim Duncan, Jerry Duncan and Stewart Fahrney; and many other family and friends.

She was preceded in death by mother Maria (Hunder) Schlesinger; father Anton Schlesinger; brother Walter J. Schlesinger; sister Constance Hicks; along with grandparents, aunts, uncles and cousins.
