Eleanor S. Eberhardt, 90, passed away September 25. Funeral services were held Wednesday, September 30, at Hillsboro Memorial Funeral Home in Brandon.
Eleanor was born February 12, 1925, a daughter of Willard J. and Macy I. Williams Smith. She was predeceased by her parents; husband Willis G. Eberhardt; and sister Arcille Smith. Surviving are son Dale E. (Brenda) Eberhardt; daughter Dr. Linda E. (Ed) Bireley; and granddaughters Ashley C. Eberhardt and Allison C. Eberhardt.
Eleanor was retired as an administrative assistant from the U.S. Government and was a member of the Sun City Center Lawn Bowling Club, Sunshine Lady at Sun Towers, and a volunteer at Sun City Center Community Association. She loved cats and otters, and was an avid coin collector, bowling instructor and nature lover who enjoyed bingo and poker with the girls.

Emma “Nina” L. Pacocha, 95, a resident of Sun City Center, Fla., formerly a longtime resident of Kent, Conn., died on October 9, 2015, at the Sun City Center Hospice House in Ruskin, Fla. Nina was an alumni secretary at Kent School in Kent.
Born on July 15, 1920, in Poughkeepsie, N.Y., she was the daughter of the late James G. and Gretchen (Bates) Garrell. On June 14, 1942, in Wassaic, N.Y., she married Joseph G. Pacocha, who predeceased her on October 5, 1989.
Nina was an alumni member of Kent School. She was also a member and past vestryman of St. Andrew’s Church in Kent. She taught Sunday school at St. Andrew’s Church for many years. Nina was a member and past matron of the Order of Eastern Star in Amenia, N.Y., and was the past district deputy Grand Matron of the Columbia, Putnam and Dutchess District. She was also a member of the American Legion Auxiliary of Avon Park, Fla. Nina belonged to the Women’s Club at the Church of the Redeemer and the Sonshine Club in Ruskin.
Nina is survived by daughter Jan Weis of Sun City Center, and grandson Jeffrey Weis of Pahrump, Nev.
