M. Louise Owens

Margaret Louise Owens, 85, passed into spirit on October 29, 2015, at her daughter’s home in Hermitage, Tenn.
Born on May 5, 1930, Louise was the daughter of David and Edna (Cole) Younglove. She graduated from Ilion (N.Y.) High School in 1948, and attended college at Cornell University and the State University of New York at Cortland. She taught second grade in the New Hartford (N.Y.) Central School District.
United in marriage with Richard E. Owens on November 23, 1957, they were married for 53 years before his passing on December 14, 2010.
Louise was ordained a Universal Life Minister in 1987.
She lived in New Hartford for 36 years before moving to Sun City Center, Fla., in 1993, while still continuing to spend the summers at the family camp on Kayuta Lake in Remsen, N.Y. Louise was very active in the Sun City Center Metaphysical Society and enjoyed playing cards. She had moved to live with her daughter in July 2014.
Louise was LOVE. The way she lived her life with love in her eyes, mind and heart is her legacy.
Louise is survived by son and daughter-in-law, Richard and Deborah Owens, Westmoreland, N.Y.; daughter, Cynthia Owens, Hermitage; grandchildren Bryan, Trevor and Danielle Owens; brother Robert Younglove, Latham, N.Y.; niece Linda (John) Laccetti, Latham; nephew Robert (Ellen) Younglove, Amsterdam, N.Y.; and several great-nephews and -nieces.
In keeping with Louise’s wishes, there will be no memorial service. Those wishing may make donations to their favorite charity in Louise’s name.
