Arthur Hadley Johnston

Arthur Hadley Johnston passed away peacefully Saturday, December 15, 2015, at 2:30 a.m. after a long and difficult, courageous battle with cancer. Born November 26, 1932, in Warwick, Bermuda, he lived in New York then Sun City Center, Fla., becoming an independent contractor for most of his working years. He was also retired from the University of  South Florida.

His spirit is carried on by a loving wife of 42 years, Dorothy Johnston, a large family of sisters, brothers, nieces, nephews and cousins, all located in Bermuda, including sons Cavin, Barry and Robert Johnston and Nkosi Daman, along with stepchildren Anete Rosario and Eddie Edwards, residing in the U.S.

He was an avid golfer who loved to travel and thoroughly enjoyed adventure and the excitement of life. He will be missed by all who had the good fortune of being a part of his life.  We are all blessed to have learned many valuable lessons from him, such as if an item was to be made or repaired (via carpentry), he felt it could be fixed or created — and he knew how to do it and did it well.

A Memorial Service will be held Tuesday, December 29, 2015, at 6 p.m. at the LifePath Hospice Chapel, 3723 Upper Creek Drive Ruskin, FL 33573. Ph: 813-642-1981.
