Larry Phelan, age 85, of Sun City Center, Fla., died January 30, 2016. He was born March 12, 1930, in Detroit, Mich.
Husband of Ruth Ann; father of Larry Jr., Sue (Pat) Temple and the late John (surviving spouse Carolyn); grandfather of five grandchildren and five great-grandchildren.
Larry was retired from DuPont Corp. and also from being a real estate broker in St. Louis, Mo. He moved to Sun City Center in May 1997 and became an avid golfer at Caloosa Golf and Country Club and all SCC courses. Larry enjoyed his family, friends, partying and traveling all over the world.
A Celebration of Life will be held at 11 a.m. on Larry’s birthday, March 12, 2016, at United Community Church 1501 La Jolla Ave. in SCC.
