H. Haines Fenimore of Sun City Center, Fla., and former longtime resident of Moorestown, N.J., passed away peacefully on Wednesday, February 24, 2016, after a long struggle with Parkinson’s disease.
<a href="/assets/images/uploads/wp/2016/03/flag-in-color.gif" rel="attachment wp-att-12593"><img class="alignleft size-thumbnail wp-image-12593" src="/assets/images/uploads/wp/2016/03/flag-in-color-150x150.gif" alt="flag-in-color" width="150" height="150" /></a>Haines was the son of the late Elizabeth Neal and H. Haines Fenimore. He was born in Collingswood, N.J., on April 7, 1928. After Haines graduated from Moorestown High School, he joined the U.S. Army. He served honorably in the Occupational Forces in Germany and Japan. He received the World War II Victory Medal and the Army of Occupation Medal-Japan. After graduating from Gettysburg College, he worked for RCA in Moorestown. Haines was an avid birder who traveled the world to see various species of birds.
Haines is survived by his beloved wife, Ann; children Roger, Donald (Cele), and Patricia; sister Marjorie; stepchildren Ric (YokeHa), Nancy, Susan (Tom), Richard, Beth and David (Laura); grandchildren Amie (Kelly), Ryan, Patrick, Melanie and Lauren; nieces Katharine, Robin and Carolynn. Haines was preceded in death by his son, Richard (Debbie).
Memorial services will be held on Monday, April 25, 2016. at 11 a.m. at Sarasota National Cemetery.

He was an ex-POW in World War II and a B-17 pilot. He served 30 years in the U.S. Army, and retired as a Major. He achieved two Ph.D.s, was a flight instructor, schoolteacher and minister. He is survived by son Dennis Harrison and daughter Debrah Hailey.
Jack’s memorial service will at 10:30 a.m. Friday, March 4, at Faith Worx Church, 202 Flamingo Drive in Apollo Beach.
The service will be followed by a military graveside ceremony at 1:30 p.m. at Florida National Cemetery in Bushnell.
