Edward J. English
Edward J. English, 85, former long-time Sun City Center (Kings Point) resident, passed away in Aurora, Ohio on November 24, after a long illness.
Born and raised in Manhattan, he enlisted in the U.S. Marine Corps and was a combat veteran of the Korean Conflict. He spent his entire career as a sales executive with Rubbermaid Incorporated, retiring in 1990. During his retirement he lived in Naples before moving to Sun City Center in 1992 where he was a volunteer EMT on the SCC Emergency Squad for many years.
He is survived by his devoted wife of 60 years Mary (O'Keefe) and seven children, Edward (Marianne), Ellen Dolan (Jeffrey), Kevin (Katie), John (Barbara), Christopher (Jennifer), James (Laura) and Robert (Erica). He leaves behind his loving grandchildren Caitlin, Meghan, Sean, Brian, Rebecca, Colin, Sara, Erin, Lucy and Aidan.
A funeral mass will be held at St. Helen Roman Catholic Church in Westfield, N.J. on Saturday, December 3, at 10:30 a.m. Interment to follow at St. Gertrude Cemetery in Colonia, N.J. with military honor guard.
