Romeo Marafiote

Romeo (Bud) Marafiote, 84, of Sun City Center, Florida and formerly of Norwalk, Connecticut, passed away February 4, 2017. He is survived by his wife of 57 years, the former Barbara Watkins Brodrick, his sons Lance Marafiote of Spring Hill, Florida and Clay Marafiote of Trinity, Florida, daughter Dr. Tracy Marafiote and husband James Hoggard of Fredonia, New York, as well as two grandchildren, four great-grandchildren and several nephews and their families.
Bud served in the United States Navy and retired as Southeastern Divisional Sales Manager for Canon USA Copier Division. The family moved to Apollo Beach in 1978. In 1979 Bud became an active member of the Tampa Sailing Squadron in Apollo Beach. He was a Past Commodore and in 1991 one of the Founders of the Youth Sailing Program. Moving to Sun City Center in 2006, he was active in the SCC Lawn Bowlers, SCC Art Club and Brandon Art Club.
A memorial service will be held at 11 a.m., Saturday, March 4, 2017 at St. John the Divine Episcopal Church, 1015 E Del Webb Blvd., Sun City Center, Florida.
