Roy C. Tillett, 89, of Ruskin, Fla. passed away March 9, 2017. He served in the United States Navy and was a retired citrus grower. He was a Mason and member of the Scottish Rite at DeSoto Lodge, Riverview, Fla. and the United States Coast Guard Auxiliary.
He was preceded in death by his son, Mark Tillett. Survivors include his wife of 38 years, Claudia, two sons, Timothy (Donna) Tillett and Daniel (Joani) Tillett; a step-daughter, Gail (Ron) Lolley; a brother, Ben (Vera) Tillett; five grandchildren and seven great-grandchildren.
The family received friends from 10 to 11 a.m. Monday, March 13, 2017 at the Sun City Center Funeral Home followed by the service at 11 a.m. Interment will be private at Manasota Memorial Park, Bradenton, Fla.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to LifePath Hospice, 3725 Upper Creek Drive, Ruskin, FL 33573 the American Cancer Society, 1462 Oakfield Drive, Brandon, FL 33511 or donor’s favorite charity.
