Robert John Mroczek, 86, passed away peacefully in his home May 21, 2017. Upon graduation from South Hadley High School in Massachusetts he was awarded a full scholarship to Harvard University, majoring in physics. He attained his law degree from Boston College where he was valedictorian of his class. During most of his career, he was a contract lawyer for General Electric.
After retirement, he resumed his love of sailing and learned to scuba dive. He enjoyed playing bridge, golf and volunteering for the Sun City Center Emergency Squad. He was a loving husband to his wife, Cynthia (nee Wilson) for 55 years. She died of a stroke in 2008. He is survived by his son, John, his daughter, Suzanne, and son-in-law, Bill Garth, grandson, Jesse W. Garth and his friend and companion, Enes Prytek.
The family will have a private celebration of his life. Memorials may be made in Robert’s memory to the Sun City Center Emergency Squad, 720 Ray Watson Dr., Sun City Center, FL 33573.
