Charlotte Lillian Reitnauer

Charlotte Lillian Reitnauer, of Sun City Center, went to be with the Lord on April 26, 2018. Her family will hold a memorial celebration in July 2018.
Charlotte, daughter of Charles William and Lillian Ethel (Peuschel) Haverland, was born October 21, 1922, in Lakeville, Minnesota. On May 6, 1942, Charlotte married Melvin Rufus Reitnauer in Reno, Nevada. They shared 58 years in marriage.
Charlotte is remembered by her family and friends as a very loving and caring person (her cookies were loved by all).<span class="Apple-converted-space"> </span>She dedicated much of her time to volunteer efforts. These included: Red Cross Gray Lady while living in Webster, South Dakota; volunteer care giver while living in Topeka, Kansas; and volunteer efforts related to Our Saviors Lutheran Church in Topeka, Kansas and Our Redeemer Lutheran Church in Sun City Center, Florida.
After serving as a Licensed Mental Health Technician II at Topeka State Hospital for 22 years, Charlotte retired in 1987.
Charlotte was an active member of Our Savior’s Lutheran from 1961 until 2012 when she moved to Sun City Center and transferred her membership to Our Redeemer Lutheran Church. She also enjoyed her membership with the Brookwood Covenant Church Women’s Bible Study of Topeka.
Charlotte is survived by her four children: Carol Lee (Kendall) Schwindt of Sun City Center, Fla., Susan Kay (Walter) Olsewski of Medford, N.Y., Michael Robert (Deborah Kay Black) of Owego, N.Y. and Betty Jo (Paul) Nesbitt of Lutz, Fla.; eight grandchildren, 21 great-grandchildren and one great-great-grandchild.
She was preceded in death by her parents, husband Melvin R. Reitnauer (Jan. 29, 2000), sister Lois Wickstrom, brother Bruno Haverland and sister Rita Waddell.
