Aleta Jonie Maschek, age 95, who was born in Mossyrock, Washington on May 22, 1922, went to be with<span class="Apple-converted-space"> </span>the Lord on May 20, 2018.
She was a loving wife, mother, grandmother, great-grandmother and great-great-grandmother.<span class="Apple-converted-space"> </span>
She was married to her late husband Matthew J. Maschek for over 50 years. Jonie worked for NBC television and was still employed with <i>The Observer News </i>where she wrote a weekly column called Fish Tales. She also published several books on the history of the Ruskin and Apollo Beach areas. She was honored to be listed in the book <i>The World Who’s Who Of Women .</i>
She is survived by daughter Jackie Campbell; grandchildren James Durrence II, Julie Deriso, Reid Campbell; great-grandchildren Kayla Pettis, Kristin Durrance, Kelli Durrance, Ciera Hamblin; great-great-grandchildren Daren, Mia, Damen, Sawyer and Eli.
Aleta Jonie Maschek lived a very fulfilling and successful life and was blessed with many friends and loved ones. She will be greatly missed.
