Thomas William Mitchell, of Sun City Center, Fla. died on May 11, 2018.
Thomas was a Korean War veteran. He also served as City Comptroller for eight years and as the Assistant Superintendent of Schools in Trenton, N.J. for 24 years.
He is survived by his son Thomas W. Mitchell II (Joan) of Yardley, Pa.; daughter Nancy Coty (Thomas) of Bradenton, Fla.; grandchildren, Rachel and Dana Coty, Thomas and Kevin Mitchell. He is predeceased by his parents Clara Hunt and Clarence Mitchell; wife, Jean Carney Mitchell; brother, Samuel Mitchell of Middletown, N.Y.; and stepbrother George Hunt of Satellite Beach, Fla.. <span class="Apple-converted-space"> </span>
A Memorial Service will be held at South Shore United Community Church on June 2 at 1 p.m.
