Robert Lee
Robert “Bob” Lee, age 95, passed away peacefully at LifePath Hospice House on June 16, 2018. He is survived by his wife of 68 years, Phyllis; sons Todd (Laura) and Jeffrey; daughter Tracey Dieterich (Bob); eight grandchildren and four great-grandchildren. He is predeceased by his son Guy and grandson Justin.
In high school Bob earned the title of “Hatrick Lee” for his scoring ability. He was also a strong “social” ice skater and enjoyed playing golf and tennis, singing old songs and dancing.
He went on to serve in the U.S. Navy’s Fleet Air Wing Seven, which was stationed in Dunkeswell, England, conducting anti-submarine control during World War II.
Bob and Phyllis bought their first house in Florida in 1984. They were snowbirds for 27 years, returning to Ohio during the summertime.
He retired from Met Life after 30 years and for 11 years he was on the Sun City Center Security Patrol from the midnight to 3 a.m. shift with Phyllis as the back-seat driver.
His ashes will be interred in Western Reserve National Cemetery in Rittman, Ohio at a later date. In lieu of flowers, please give to the Sun City Center Emergency Squad or any charity of your choice.
