Carrie D. Cox, 93, of Ruskin, Fla. passed away October 5, 2018. She was a charter member of the Ruskin B.P.O.E. Elks Lodge, a member of Women of the Moose, served as secretary of the Ruskin Chamber of Commerce and a member of Calvary Lutheran Church.<span class="Apple-converted-space"> </span>
She was preceded in death by her husbands Peter Maruca and Robert Cox and by her son James Maruca. Survivors include her daughter, Paula (Charles) Sabo; two granddaughters, Kristen (Todd Reynolds) Tanner and Tracy (Jason) Dain; great-granddaughter Amber (Brent) Poznecki and great-grandson Jordan Dain; great-great-granddaughter Kynlee Poznecki; and by her sister Lilly Avaline Dye.<span class="Apple-converted-space"> </span>Memorial service will be at 11 a.m. on Friday, October 12, 2018, at Calvary Lutheran Church, 5309 U.S. 41 N., Apollo Beach, Fla. Private burial was in Mansion Memorial Park, Ellenton, Fla. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the Calvary Lutheran Church Building Fund or the Calvary Lutheran Church Community Cupboard Food Pantry, 5309 U.S. 41 N., Apollo Beach, FL 33572.
