Walter Y. Knisley, age 86, of Apollo Beach, Fla. passed away on October 4, 2018. Mr. Knisley was born in Harrisburg, Pa. He is survived by his wife Shirley Knisley of Apollo Beach, Fla.; daughter Susan Newkam of Hershey, Pa.; son David Knisley of Hummelstown, Pa.; brother William Knisley (Janet); stepdaughters Brenda Kern of Mechanicsburg, Pa., Bonita Johnson of Baltimore, Md., and Deborah Sufrin of Enola, Pa.; six grandchildren and eight great-grandchildren.<span class="Apple-converted-space"> </span>
Walter enjoyed woodworking, cycling and marathon running. He was also an avid Tampa Bay Buccaneers, Tampa Bay Lightning, and Nascar fan. Services have yet to be scheduled. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made in Walter’s name to Lifepath Hospice, 12470 Telecom Dr., Ste. 300, Temple Terrace, FL 33637. Arrangements entrusted to the National Cremation & Burial Society, Ruskin, Fla.
