Robert Hollis

June 5, 1947 – October 18, 2018

<a href="/assets/images/uploads/wp/2018/10/American-Flag.gif"><img class="alignleft size-thumbnail wp-image-22645" src="/assets/images/uploads/wp/2018/10/American-Flag-120x120.gif" alt="" width="120" height="120" /></a>Robert Hollis, 71, of Sun City Center, Fla. passed away on October 18, 2018, with his wife and mother at his side. Bob was born in Frankfort, Indiana on June 5, 1947, to parents William and Helen Hollis. He graduated from Huntington College and Indiana University. <span class="Apple-converted-space"> </span>

Bob was honorably discharged from the Army National Guard of Indiana after serving from 1970 to 1976. He enjoyed model railroading and reading, especially Civil War documentaries. Bob retired from General Motors in Kokomo, Indiana and came to Sun City Center, Fla. in 2010 where he became a Realtor and worked together with his wife at both Century 21 Beggins and most recently Keller Williams Realty Southshore.

When asked how he was doing he would smile broadly and tell you, “If things were any better, I wouldn't be able to stand it.”

Bob is survived by his wife Rosemary and his mother Helen Hollis both of Sun City Center, Fla.; his sister Ruth Shaw (Gary) of Greentown, Ind.; his two sons Brian Hollis (Elizabeth) of Kokomo, Ind. and Craig Hollis (Lisa-Marie) of Ontario, Canada; and three stepsons Scott Bradford of Noblesville, Ind., Todd Bradford (Meagan) of Sugar Hills, Ga. and Mark Bradford (Suzanne) of Greentown, Ind.; his Aunt Bonnie Loveless of Frankfort, Ind. and several nephews and cousins. A funeral Mass will be celebrated at Prince of Peace Catholic Church in Sun City Center, Fla. on Oct. 30 at 11 a.m. A luncheon will follow in the parish hall. Robert will be laid to rest in Greenlawn Cemetery in Frankfort, Indiana. Memorial contributions may be made to the Sun City Center Emergency Squad, Sun City Center Security Patrol or a charity of choice.
