Dale K. Reinhart

Dale Kenneth Reinhart, 93, father of nine, grandfather of 20, great-grandfather of 21, great-great-grandfather of one and a World War II Veteran died peacefully at his home March 1, 2019. On Valentine's Day 1947, he married the love of his life Betty Lou and they remained cherished partners for 69 and one-half years. He received his master’s degree in Music Education from the Minneapolis College of Music in 1956. He had a magical voice and could have entered the opera, but instead taught music in school before entering the Civil Service as the Music Therapy Director at the VA mental hospital in Marion, Indiana. He eventually retired as the Director of Recreation at MacDill AFB.
He was a lover of life, charming, witty, fun, knowledgeable, giving and steadfast. A loyal servant of GOD, country and family. He was truly a part of the Greatest Generation.
He is survived by his nine children Joanne Reinhart Kelly, Cathy Kennelly (Kevin), John Reinhart (Nancy), Jeanette Stevens (Cecil), Frank Reinhart (Nicole), Richard Reinhart (Diana), Joe Reinhart (Jackie), Mary Seaman (Steve), Anthony Reinhart and their families.
A Memorial Mass will be held on Saturday, March 9, 2019 at 10 a.m. at Nativity Catholic Church in Brandon, Fla. Dale will be laid to rest with his wife Betty Lou at The Florida National Cemetery in Bushnell on March 15, 2019 at 11 a.m.
In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to St. Jude's Children's Hospital.
