Kenneth R. Heindel
Kenneth R. Heindel, 98, of Sun City Center, Fla., passed January 15, 2021.
Mr. Heindel and his wife Gladys had been active residents of Sun City Center, Fla., since 2000.
Mrs. Heindel preceded Ken in death in 2010. Prior to coming to Sun City Center, Ken and Gladys were originally from Dallastown, Pa., and had spent 20 years of their retirement in Cape Coral, Fla.
Mr. Heindel retired from R.E.Heindel and Son Oil Distributors in York, Pa., a company started by his father.
Mr. Heindel was a Navy World War II veteran; as an accomplished musician he played in the Navy Band. He continued using this talent into his final years.
Ken and Gladys had four children: Craig, Keith, Kim and Kendra. Keith predeceased his father in 2018.
Ken was a loving and caring grandfather, great-grandfather and great-great-grandfather.
Ken and Gladys are interred at Bay Pines National Cemetery in St. Petersburg, Fla.
