</span><br />After 80 years well lived, Acie Ray was called home to be with his Lord on May 7, 2011. Acie was born August 10, 1930 in Pikeville, KY to Archie and Cora Lee (Newsome) Ray. Survivors include his beloved wife Barbara (Stone) of 57 years, his adoring children and their spouses Brian and Diane Ray, Cheryl & Dennis Gorski, Brenda & John Selby, Annette & Daniel Thibodeau, and his cherished grandchildren Kaitlyn and Kevin Ray, Cayla and Hunter Gorski, Linsey Higgins and husband Paul Mack, Arthur Higgins, and Brandon and Chad Selby. Acie is preceded in death by his parents, his mother-in-law Leah Belle Stone, his sister Draxie Blair, his brother Adron Fields, and his granddaughter Kelsey Allison Ray. Acie is a veteran of the Korean War, United States Army, 101st Airborne Division. He retired from Ford Motor Company, Wixom Plant in 1983 after 30 years, and has since split his time between his homes in Howell, MI and Apollo Beach, FL. Acie was a member of the Milford Masonic Lodge and he enjoyed visiting with family and friends, gardening, bee keeping, hunting and fishing, and playing pool and cards, especially cribbage. The family invites friends to gather on Tuesday from 1-6:30 PM at Borek Jennings Funeral Home, Lamb Chapel, Howell, MI. A Masonic service will begin at 6:30 PM followed by A Healing Farewell at 7:00 PM. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions are suggested to Chromosome 18 Registry.
