They were previously long time residents of Ruskin, FL. He is survived by one brother, Alex Sumner of Ruskin; eight children, Cathy and Rick Davis of Ruskin, Jimmy Sumner of Bartow, Ellen and Ed Pintze of Bartow, Annette and Donald Kierce of North Carolina, Denise Robinson of Bartow, Dan and Joan Sumner of Sundance, William and Melissa Sumner of Bartow, Rita and Alan Payne of Ruskin, 37 grandchildren, 22 great grandchildren and 1 great great grandchild. </p>

<p style="margin: 0.0px 0.0px 0.0px 0.0px; font: 12.0px Helvetica;">Viewing was held on Wednesday, May 18, from 5:00 p.m.- 7:00 p.m. at National Cremation and Burial located at 308 East College, Ruskin, FL. Funeral service will be held on Thursday, May 19, at National Cremation at 11:00 a.m.</p>
