Neil P. Anderson

</span><br />Neil P. Anderson died on May 19th at his home in Sun City Center, Florida after a lengthy illness with his wife and daughter at his bedside.</p>
<p>Neil was born April 15, 1934 in Medford, MA – the youngest of eight children to William and Nora (Murphy) Anderson. He attended Tufts University on an ROTC scholarship from the United States Marine Corps and graduated with a Bachelor of Science degree in Electrical Engineering in 1956. </p>
<p>He worked briefly for GTE Sylvania, then had an extended career as Program Manager and Director of Development of the Physical Security Center of Excellence in the Electronic Systems Division at Hanscom Air Force Base in Lexington, MA. He retired from government service in 1991 with a GS 15 SCI- Top Secret security clearance.</p>
<p>On June 26th, 1965 he married Anne Stanton Pearson who survives him after 45 years of married life. </p>
<p>Neil leaves four children: Neila Anderson-Decelles and her husband Paul of Newport, VT; William Anderson and his wife Kathleen of Rockland, MA. Paul Anderson of Sandwich, MA; and Sean Anderson and his fiancée Beth Swineford of Bourne, MA. He will be missed by four grandsons and three granddaughters. </p>
<p>He was predeceased by brothers Reverend William Anderson, Alfred Anderson and a sister, Ruth Anderson in recent years.</p>
<p>Neil was proud that his children were able to spend their formative years living on his beloved Cape Cod in Sagamore Beach, MA. In his retirement years in Florida, Neil developed a love for participating in theatre productions and musicals, taking on different roles as an actor and singer in various performances. He also enjoyed bridge, was a voracious reader and had a passion for Notre Dame football. </p>
<p>A funeral Mass will be offered at 9AM on Friday June 17th, at St. Camillus Catholic Church in Arlington, MA. Interment will follow at Oak Grove Cemetery in Medford, MA.</p>
