Lt. Colonel Mabel H. Corbin

</span><br />Lt. Colonel Mabel H. Corbin, 92, of Kings Point, Sun City, Florida, died October 15, 2011 at home after an extended illness. She was born September 5, 1919 in Westminster; she was the daughter of the William F. and Rosa M. Corbin.</p>
<p>Col. Corbin was a graduate of Westminster High School, and Union Memorial School of Nursing in Baltimore, MD., and received degrees from the University of Puget Sound, Washington, and the University of Central Florida. During her twenty two years of service in the Army Nurse Corps she was stationed at Letterman Army Hospital in S.F California, Walter Reed A.H, Washington D.C, Valley Forge A.H in Phoenixville ,Pa., Ft. McClellan A.H in Alabama, Magigan A. H. in Tacoma Washington, Martin A.H in Ft. Benning, Ga., and retired from DeWitt A.H in Ft. Belvoir, Virginia in 1970. Her overseas assignments included two tours in Germany at Augsburg and Stuttgart, Fountainbleau, France, MAAG Teheran, Iran, Sendoi, Tokyo, Yokohoma and Koyto in Japan and served in the 8076 MASH during the Korean Conflict.</p>
<p>She was predeceased by two sisters Ruth V. Grill and Pearl M. Helwig, and six brothers, William F. Jr., Herbert, Richard, Woodrow, Edward and Raymond Corbin. She is survived by 15 nieces and nephews.</p>
