Odes Holland

</span><br />Odes Holland, 92, died October 20, 2011, at his home in Apollo Beach.&nbsp; He is survived by his loving wife Catherine, his children, Gloria, Carl, and Kay Holland, and his beloved dog Sassy.&nbsp; He was born in Lee County, South Carolina, and was recruited to play football by what is now Clemson University.&nbsp; He began his career in land development in South Carolina with Robert E. Lee &amp; Company, moving to Florida in 1953.&nbsp; As vice president of the company, he played an important role in the development of Apollo Beach and other Bay area communities.&nbsp; Faith was an essential part of his life, and he sought to live guided by its principles. <br />&nbsp;<br />Contact Gloria Holland by email
