Constance Gevry Stevens, 83, passed away on June 5, 2026. She was born on May 31, 1943, in Weybridge, Vermont, to Louis Hippolyte Gevry and Annette Claire Parent.
Connie was raised on the family farm in Orwell, Vermont, and graduated from Brandon High School in 1961. On April 11, 1964, she married her sweetheart, Michael Bryant Stevens. Together they raised their family in Rutland, Vermont, before later moving to Mundelein, Illinois, and then to Green Bay, Wisconsin, where Mike retired from Moore Business Forms in 1996. For many years, Connie and Mike enjoyed spending their winters in Florida as snowbirds. After Mike’s passing on August 17, 2016, Connie fulfilled their shared plan to make Florida her full-time home, first living in Largo and later settling in Sun City Center.
Throughout her life, Connie was devoted to her roles as a wife, mother, homemaker, real estate agent and accountant. She retired from Kemper Insurance in Long Grove, Illinois, in 1992.
Connie is survived by her daughter, Michelle Marie Sutton (Stevens); her sons, Brian Michael Stevens and Scott Randall Stevens; her grandchildren, Jennifer Rae Stevens and Jonathan Robert Sutton; eight great-grandchildren; her sisters, Jeanne Krull and Doris Fillioe; and her brother, Armand Gevry; and many nieces, nephews and cousins. She was preceded in death by her beloved husband, Michael Bryant Stevens, and her sister, Teresa Bertrand, as well as her parents.
Connie will be remembered for her devotion to family, her steady work ethic and the warm, enduring love she shared with those closest to her.
A Celebration of Life will be held later this year, with details to be announced at a later date.
