Mirriam Gene Griggs, 87, passed away Aug. 21, 2012 at Sun City Center. She was preceded in death by her parents, Thomas and Ruth Harris, and her husband, Clark Griggs. She was born on November 26, 1924 in Iowa, but spent the majority of her life in Brooklyn, MI. She was co-founder of Griggs Real Estate and was active in the Brooklyn Presbyterian Church, and St Andrew Presbyterian Church in SCC. She is survived by daughters, Barbara Moore of Redford, MI, Patricia (Hank) Wesch of San Diego, CA; sons, David (Deb) of Rapid River, MI and Bronson (Cathy) of Ruskin, FL.; a sister, Ellen Bowser of Michigan Center, MI; a brother, Lorene (Elizabeth) Harris of Vandercook Lake, MI and several nieces and nephews. She had 37 grandchildren, including great and great-great grandchildren. A celebration of her life will be held at a future date in Michigan. “Genie” made friends wherever she went and was loved my many. In lieu of flowers, donations may be sent to a charity of choice.</p>
