Edgar Hadfield Hannum

</span><br />Edgar Hadfield Hannum passed away peacefully Sunday, August 26, 2012, at the age of 90 in Sun City Center, Florida, with his wife and daughter at his side.</p>
<p>Born in 1921 in Berwyn, IL, to Ralph and Libbie Hannum, he was preceded in death by his sister Jeanne Hannum Hansen.</p>
<p>Survivors include his wife of 61 years, Lucille Havlik Hannum; daughter, Diane Hannum; sons, Scott (Debi), Ralph, and Doug (Nancy); grandchildren Jeremy, James, Kristen, Nicki, Ford and Mackenzie Hannum; and great-granddaughter Marlee.</p>
<p>Edward worked for international Harvester, and Hercules Engines of Canton, OH, where he retired as Vice President of OEM Sales. He was a Dive Bomber Pilot as a Lieutenant in the Navy during World War II. He was a graduate of the University of Illinois with a degree in Mechanical Engineering. Edgar was an avid sailor who loved the water, making sure all his children were proficient swimmers. He was a devoted husband and father and will be missed by all.</p>
