Yvonne C. Komst, 77 of Sun City Center, passed away on Thursday, November 22, 2012, at Tampa General Hospital with her family at her side.</p>
<p>Born in Iowa, LA on May 9, 1935, Yvonne was a homemaker and a member of Prince of Peace Catholic Church, Women Auxiliary of the Knight of Columbus, Prince of Peace Bible Study, Chairman of the Welcome Community for the Church, and Head Greeter.</p>
<p>Yvonne is survived by her husband Curtis H. Komst, Sun City Center; daughter Debra (Kevin) Byrd of Winston-Salem, NC; daughter Delores Komst of Washington, DC; son Christopher (Kimberly) Komst of Lake Wylie, SC; two grandchildren, Alison Walrath and Daniel Seriff; and great-granddaughter Ava Klein.</p>
<p>A Mass of Christian Burial was held on Tuesday, November 27, 2012 at Prince of Peace Catholic Church, preceded by visitation on Monday, November 26, 2012 at the Sun City Center Funeral Home.</p>
<p><strong>Pauline “Polly” Weatherbee</strong><br />
Pauline Jellison “Polly” Weatherbee, 94, of Sun City Center, FL, passed away peacefully on Monday, Nov. 12, at Aston Gardens. Born July 17, 1918, in E. Corinth and raised in Bangor, ME, she graduated from the Univ. of Maine at Orono, with honors as a Phi Beta Kappa.</p>
<p>After WWII, she and her husband, Artemus E. Weatherbee, resided in Silver Spring, MD for 30 years while he served in various U.S. Gov’t agencies, retiring in 1973 with the rank of Ambassador. They retired to Kennebunk, ME and Sun City Center, FL.</p>
<p>Polly was an active member of P.E.O. for nearly 50 years, serving as chapter president and attending three international conventions. An accomplished pianist, she worked in the music dept. at Marjorie Webster Junior College in the D.C. area. She lived in Manila, Philippines, from 1970-1973 while her husband served as U.S. Director of the Asian Development Bank. They traveled extensively, circling the world several times, visiting over 50 countries.</p>
<p>Polly was always active in local activities. She enjoyed music, reading, bridge, golf, and especially being with people. Those who knew her will sorely miss her sparkling eyes, warm smile, quick wit, and engaging personality.</p>
<p>Polly was preceded in death by her husband of 55 years in 1995, her daughter Sue Weatherbee Adams in 2001, and her brother Charles A. Jellison, Jr. in 2009. She is survived by her two sons, Richard C. Weatherbee of Denver, CO and Sun City Center, and Steven S. Weatherbee of Fairfield, PA; six grandchildren and six great-grandchildren.</p>
<p>A memorial service will be held on Sat. Dec. 8 at 11:30 a.m. at the United Community Church in Sun City Center. In lieu of flowers, the family asks that you remember Polly by making a donation to the charity of your choice.</p>
