<p>James P. Merrigan, 87, of Ruskin, Florida, passed away on March 10, 2013. Jim was born in Massachusetts, where he resided with his beloved wife Doris until 1989 when they moved to Ruskin where they became very active in their community.&nbsp; Jim and Doris loved to travel. When they weren&rsquo;t traveling, they enjoyed entertaining and visiting their many friends.</p>
<p>Jim was a proud WWII veteran, having served with the U.S. Army 280th Combat Engineer Battalion at the Battle of The Bulge.&nbsp; He was nicknamed &ldquo;The Kid&rdquo; for being the youngest.</p>
<p>Jim will be missed by his family and his many friends. He was pre-deceased by his beloved wife Doris, his sister Regina, and brother Paul. He is survived by his dear brother Arthur, of Jacksonville and many nieces and nephews.</p>
<p>There will be a graveside ceremony at The Florida National Cemetery in Bushnell on Friday, April 26, 2013 at 2 p.m.</p>
