<p>Marian E. Grover of Sun City Center, Florida, passed away on May 20, 2013 at the age of 78. Marian is predeceased by her father Harry S. Grover, mother Esther K. Grover, sister Ruth, brothers Richard, Buddy (Alvin), Martin and Byron.</p>
<p>Marian is survived by her loving sisters-in-law Rita (Martin) Grover and Jean (Byron) Grover Buchanan; nephews Richard Grover, Scott (Nina) Grover, Jeffery (Kimberley) Grover, and Eric (Bethany) Grover; and nieces Sharon (Joseph) Grover-Renda and Jennifer Grover.</p>
<p>Marian was born in Baldwin, NY on May 28, 1934. She graduated from Van Etten Central High School in 1952 and went on to earn a Bachelor’s degree at SUNY Buffalo in 1957 and a Master’s degree from Cornell University in 1962. She worked as a nutritionist for the State of New Jersey, after which she relocated to Sun City Center, Florida.</p>
<p>Marian enjoyed world travel and was known to go on major excursions that included such outdoor activities as hiking, white-water rafting, river boat trips and many other activities. She was very active in her nephews’ and nieces’ lives, traveling to see school concerts, plays and graduations. She was an active member of the United Community Church of Sun City Center. She also loved her cats very much.</p>
<p>Friends can call at Allen Manzer Funeral Home in Spencer, NY on Saturday, June 8, 2013 at 12 p.m. A memorial service will follow at 2 p.m. A Christian burial service will take place directly after the memorial service at the Hicks Cemetery, Hickstown, NY. Friends and family are invited for fellowship and light fare at Jeff Grover’s home in Spencer following the burial.</p>
<p>A separate memorial service will be held for Marian’s fellow worshipers and friends at 10 a.m. on Saturday, June 29 at the United Community Church in Sun City Center, 1501 La Jolla Ave.</p>
<p>In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations be made to the National Park Foundation in memory of Marian.</p>
