<p>Jan Burr died peacefully on February 22, at LifePath Hospice in Sun City Center. She was born in Detroit, Mich. on November 17, 1926. </p>
<p>Jan was predeceased by her father and mother, Norm and Ernistine Carpenter, also of Sun City Center. She is survived by her two older sisters, Elaine and Shirley.</p>
<p>Jan was the wife of her cherished, predeceased husband Arthur Burr, loving mother of Nancy (Corbin) Findlan and Jay (Patricia) Niemiec-Robertson; grandmother to Erin and Justin (Shug) Findlan; and great-grandmother to Shaki Das, Adi, Kaya and Asha, the beautiful children of Justin and Sunyata Findlan.</p>
<p>Not to be content there, she was the stepmother to Art’s children: David (Nicolle) Burr, Chris (Tony) Santavicca, Larry (Vicki) Burr; Patti (Steve) Belsley, Jim (Lisa) Burr, and Suzane (Paul) Bonkowski; including 14 grandchildren and three great-grandchildren.</p>
<p>As a resident of Sun City Center for more than 30 years, Jan was very active in the local art groups, winning several awards for her watercolors. In addition, she was an avid golfer, bridge player and a member of St. Andrew Presbyterian Church.</p>
<p>Jan’s tenacity, determination, many strengths and uncanny ability to swing a golf club and talk at the same time will be missed by those who knew and loved her.</p>
<p>Jan’s son and daughter would especially like to thank her dear friend Betty Crawford and her special caregiver, Ashley Green, for the support, love and care they provided for Mom’s final months.</p>
