<p>Charles “Charlie” Donald Murray, 84, passed away May 10, 2014, from esophageal cancer. He was a beloved husband and father and bagpiper extraordinaire.</p>
<p>Born in Wilkinsburg, Pa., Charlie moved to Sarasota, Fla., in 1964, and to Sun City Center in 2004. He served in the U.S. Army during the Korean conflict.</p>
<p>He is survived by his wife of 60 years, Ann; sons Ian and Donald (Cheryl); daughter Sine (Alan) Murray; five grandchildren; one great-grandson; brother Gerald (Pat); and sister Evelyn (Stanley) Cwikla.</p>
<p>Charlie was Pipe Major of Sarasota Highlander Pipes & Drums, founding member of St. Andrew Society of Sarasota, the Caledonian Club of Sarasota and the Sarasota Scottish Highland Games.</p>
<p>Memorial services and burial will be June 6, 2014, at 11 a.m. at Sarasota National Cemetery.</p>
