Connie Ilse Sara (née Ruttin) Marinchek, 84, of Sun City Center, passed away peacefully on June 17, 2014.
Born October 23, 1929, in Berlin, Germany, to Gertrude Gintz Ruttin and Walter Gintz, Connie immigrated during the Holocaust in 1939 to the United States with her mother, regrettably leaving her father behind.
Having traveled extensively and developed a successful career in real estate finance, Connie married her soul mate, Jack Andrew Marinchek, on January 23, 1965, in San Jose, Calif.
Connie and Jack lived in several cities, including Chicago; Clearwater, Houston and Sarasota. In recent years, Connie operated Priority1 Cruise & Tours and tutored at Wimauma Elementary School.
Connie was a passionate mother to Scott Michael Marinchek, adoring grandmother to Skyler John Wynne Marinchek, loving wife, grateful daughter, successful entrepreneur and ardent bridge player.
Connie attended Temples Emanu-El in Sarasota and Beth Israel in Sun City Center.
Connie is survived by her husband, son, grandson and cousins in Oregon.
