Ronald Lee Snell, 74, of Sun City Center, passed away on Sunday, July 27, 2014, at home.
He is survived by Susan, his wife of 33 years; children Mark Snell (Phuong) and Mona Lindeomen (Chip) of Maple grove, Minn., and David Snell of St. Paul, Minn.; stepchildren Mary Blankenship (Joe Alfieri) of Deerfield, Ill., and Donald Blankenship of Bethel, Minn.; sister Patricia Watkins of Oak Hill, W.Va.; brother Paul Snell of Davenport, Iowa; 12 grandchildren; one great-grandchild; one niece and two nephews.
He was preceded in death by stepson John Blankenship.
Ron was born in Oak Hill to Joseph Henry and Edna (Cecil) Snell. He graduated from Collins High School in Oak Hill, class of 1957. He worked in retail grocery and commercial baking in California and Minnesota, and retired to Melbourne Beach, Fla., in 1989.
He moved to Sun City Center in 2011 and began volunteering as a driver at Samaritan Services and Sun City Ride, and with the Sun City Center Security Patrol.
There will be a private memorial and burial of cremains in Minnesota.
