Stephen Michael Scrivener was born January 29, 1992, in Tampa to Greg and Mary Scrivener. He passed away December 25, 2014, at Moffitt Cancer Center in Tampa at the age of 22.
We will have a Celebration of Life from 5 to 7 p.m. Saturday, Jan. 31, 2015, at the Ellenton Ice & Sports Complex, 5309 29th St. East, Ellenton.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in Stephen’s name to a charity of your choice.

He was born February 21, 1943, in Philadelphia, to Elva Ridgway Stephens and the late John Charles Stephens Sr. In addition to his father, he was predeceased by his sister, Emily Stephens.
John was a proud veteran of the U.S. Marine Corps. He was an outgoing man who made friends everywhere. He loved nothing more than spending time with fellow veterans. He was a former construction worker who worked on oil rigs and in power plants overseas and in the U.S.
John was also a devoted Christian with the heart of an evangelist. He loved to study his Bible and share his faith with others.
He is survived by his mother, Elva Stoyko, 91, of Pitman, N.J.; former wife Lisa Stephens of Corpus Christi, Texas; son Richard Boggs of Clayton, N.J.; daughter Tammy Stephens of Mississippi; sisters Patricia McFaull (Bruce), also of Pitman, and Kathleen Weber (Bill) of Palmetto, Fla.; as well as many cousins, nieces and nephews. He also is fondly rememberd by his very good friends, Don and Judy Camp of Sun City Center.
<h3>Col. Peter Hart Walker</h3>
Colonel Peter Hart Walker, U.S. Army (Retired), age 80, of Sun City Center, died recently. He was born in Seattle, Wash. He was a Distinguished Military Graduate of Gonzaga University. He received his Army commission as a 2nd Lt. and entered active duty at Fort Benning, Ga. He served in four divisions across the U.S., Europe and Vietnam. He retired at Fort McPherson, Ga., after 30 years of service. He was a member of the Army General Staff, graduated from the National War College (Washington, D.C.) and the Command and Staff College (Fort Leavenworth, Kan.). He was awarded many medals and decorations — the final being the Legion of Merit (1st OLC).
He was preceded in death by his oldest son, Stephen B. Walker, and his sister Barbara W. Goodman.
He is survived by his wife of 56 years, Barbara B. Walker, of Sun City Center; sons Glen H. Walker II (Lesa) of Kennesaw, Ga., A, Douglas K. Walker (Teri) of Marietta, Ga.; and daughter-in-law Wanda H. Walker of Monroe, Conn. He is also survived by his sister, Sister Mary Irene Walker O.P., Adrian, Mich.; and five grandchildren.
After moving to Sun City Center in 1996, Peter was involved in community service and held leadership positions in clubs and organizations, including President of the SCC Men’s Club, Treasurer of the SCC Community Association, President of the Simmons Lake Association and was a volunteer tax preparer for AARP. He was also a life member of MOAA. He enjoyed bridge, dancing, lawn bowling, shuffleboard and horseshoes.
A Funeral Mass was held Jan. 21 at Prince of Peace Catholic Church, Sun City Center. The burial service with full military honors will be at a later date in Marietta, Ga.
