Maria Gonzales Zuniga
January 9, 1933 –
Loving mother, grandmother and great-grandmother, Maria Gonzales Zuniga was called home January 1, 2015. Seeing how tired and weak she was, her health and strength having declined, God decided it was time for her to be pain-free and at peace.
Born Jan. 9, 1933, in San Benito, Texas, she settled in Ruskin later in life, after marrying Octavio B. Zuniga. She was a homemaker and a member of Destiny Church in Ruskin.
Survivors include eight of 10 children: RosaMaria Munoz, Adalia Rios, Nora Munoz, Octavio Zuniga Jr., Maricela Sandoval, Otila Hernandez, Criselda Zuniga Meza and Joe Zuniga; 70 grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
Burial services were held Jan. 10 at Destiny Church.
Services entrusted to National Cremation and Burial Society, Ruskin.
