Ash McClure Hawk
Ash McClure Hawk, 78, of Sun City Center, Fla., passed away March 9, 2015.

Ash was born and raised in Ohio, the son of William McClure and Elizabeth Ash Hawk.  He attended schools in Ohio, graduating from Ohio State University in 1957. Upon graduation, he married his high-school and lifelong sweetheart, Carol Marie Williams, and began service as a U.S. Naval Officer stationed with the Atlantic Fleet. Upon completion of military service, the couple moved to Ann Arbor, Mich., where he completed his doctoral studies at the University of Michigan.

Their Minnesota homes included a family retreat on Lake Vermillion, where they continued to reside during the summers, relocating to Florida for the winters.

Ash is survived by a caring and loving wife of 57 years; children James Parker Hawk and Cynthia Carol (Gary) Bishop; sister Adrianne (William) Geiger; loving grandchildren Parker James Hawk, Mara Marie Hawk, Erin Coleen Hawk, Ashley Carol Bishop and Eric Wayne Bishop.

A private celebration was held at his request.

Memorials may be directed to Calvary Lutheran Church, 5309 U.S. 41 North, Apollo Beach, Fla.
