Howard R. Brumleve, 86, of Sun City Center, Fla., formerly of Teutopolis, Ill., passed away Monday, March 16, 2015, at Tampa General Hospital in Tampa.

Howard was born December 8, 1928, in Teutopolis, the son of Ferdinand C. and Charlotte (Thoele) Brumleve. He married Patricia Walker on October 16, 1954, and she survives.

Howard graduated from Ohio State with a bachelor’s degree in engineering, was a member of Phi Kappa Theta and of the National Society of Professional Engineers.

Howard was an Ohio State football fan and enjoyed golfing.

Howard was preceded in death by his parents.

Howard is survived by wife Patricia of Sun City Center, Fla.; children Ann (Jeff) Morris of Austin, Texas, Paul (Chris) of Holden, Mass., Mary (Lou) Howell of St. Louis, Mo., Patty Brumleve of Holden, Mass., and Martha (Tom) Lord of St. Louis; grandchildren Madeline, Lily, Charlotte, Joshua, Jonathan, Elizabeth (Jake), Timothy, Andrew (Amanda), Matthew, Sarah, Brendan and Nicholas; and great-grandson Isaac.

A Funeral Mass was held Monday, March 23, at St. Francis of Assisi Catholic Church in Teutopolis; burial with military rites was in St. Francis Cemetery.
