<p>Betty A. Faulkner, 84 of Sun City Center, passed away at her home, February 11, 2010. </p>
<p>Born in Arma, Kansas, Betty along with her beloved husband moved to Tampa from Mt. Vernon, Mo. in 1966. Betty worked at many jobs in her life, but most enjoyed teaching kindgarten and elementary school children. Betty was a member of the Eastern Star primarily in Missouri. She also gave countless volunteer hours to Meals on Wheels, Red Cross and Memorial Hospital in the Tampa, Fl. </p>
<p>Betty was preceded in death by her beloved husband Jim, just 11 months earlier. After 64 years of marriage they were considered inseparable. Betty and Jim traveled extensively and enjoyed many activities including the Gadabout Club of Sun City Center. Betty is survived by her daughter Jamie Faulkner-Suarez and son-in-law Bob Suarez. There are also surviving great-nephews, great-nieces and their families in Kansas and Missouri.</p>
<p>The family would like to sincerely thank the staff of Sun Towers for their care and compassion in difficult times. Also, thank you to Hospice, Silver team. There will be no memorial services. A private burial was held Tuesday, February 16, 2010 in Clearwater, Florida. The family has requested no flowers; donations may be made to the Sun City Emergency Squad or The United Community Church of Sun City.</p>
