Linda Swift
LINDA SWIFT
Linda Swift of Sun City Center has gone to rest with the Lord on May 7, 2015, following a lengthy struggle with ALS.
She was born Linda Folsom in Wareham, Mass., on February 14, 1949, to Lewin Folsom and Vivian Hathaway. Raised in Wareham, Linda attended nursing college and obtained her RN license.
In 1975 she moved to Florida and was an OR nurse at Manatee Hospital for many years. Following her retirement in 1996 from Manatee Hospital, she continued her work at nursing homes in Florida and Texas.
She leaves behind her beloved husband Dunham Swift, stepchildren from Dunham's previous marriage, Barbara Swift of Thousand Oaks, California; Heather Foley of Dallas,Texas; and Erica Smith from Houston, Texas; along with three step-grandchildren, Kayla and Avery Sturdevant and Juliana Foley.
Over the years Linda participated in several local clubs including the D.O.G group, China Painting, the Sew ’n Sews and Apple User Group.
Linda was a dear and genuine lady and a loving wife. All who knew Linda came to appreciate her goodness and giving nature.She gave beyond all reasonable expectations to her family, friends and patients. She will be dearly missed by all who knew and loved her.

A Memorial Service is planned for Thursday, May 21, at 10 a.m. at the Sun City Center Funeral Home, 1851 Rickenbacker Drive, Sun City Center, FL 33573.
