Joan Frances Emmrich, 80, passed away on May 15, 2015, at Sun City Center Hospice House, Ruskin, Fla. She was born September 24, 1934 in Far Rockaway, N.Y. She is survived by her husband Gerry, stepsons Stuart and Kevin, and granddaughter Kelly.
Joan was a surgical nurse for 32 years, serving at Nassau County Medical Center and South Nassau Communities Hospital. Her last 15 years were spent teaching Surgical Technology at Nassau Community College.
A Funeral Mass will be held at 11 a.m. Friday, May 22, at Prince of Peace Catholic Church, Sun City Center, Fla.
