Harry Miller

Harry A. Miller passed away peacefully on March 11, 2015, in Sun City Center, Fla. He was 96.
Harry was born Oct. 7, 1918, in Bethlehem, Pa., to John J. and Margaret (Dixon) Miller. Two years after graduating from Liberty High School in 1937, he enlisted in the Navy and served on the <i>USS Intrepid</i> during World War II. He graduated from Moravian College in 1948 and, on November 19, 1949, married Pearl M. Hess in Bethlehem.
After earning his MBA from the University of Pennsylvania’s Wharton School of Business, Harry was employed by Bethlehem Steel Corp. for 30 years, until his retirement in 1982. He moved to Sun City Center, where he made many friends and enjoyed a happy retirement playing golf and spending time with family.
Preceded in death by his wife Pearl in 2004, he will be lovingly remembered by his daughters Barbara (William Thompson) of Salt Lake City, Utah; Carolyn (Steven) Rose of Allentown, Pa.; and Jan (Bruce) Maderic of Glendale, Ariz.; grandchildren Amanda Maderic of Austin, Texas, and Ryan (Megan) Maderic of Phoenix, Ariz.; great-granddaughter Alison Maderic and sister Marjory Gerbino of Kutztown, Pa.
Services will be held in Bethlehem at a later date.
