Jane Koester
Jane Koester, 81, died at her home in Sun City Center on June 23, 2015. She was born and grew up in Nebraska City, Neb. She was a longtime sufferer from multiple sclerosis, but was a game little fighter all the way. She was a graduate of William Woods College, the University of Nebraska at Lincoln and has an MSSW from the University of Kansas.
Surviving are Donald, her husband of 56 years; children Stephen, Pamela Leary (née Koester) and Mark. She leaves eight grandchildren and nine great-grandchildren. Jane was an outstanding mother and the neighborhood children made for one big happy family at her house. She will be missed by so many.
There will be no service locally, but a memorial service will be held later in New York. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to her favorite charities: the National Multiple Sclerosis Society, Florida Gulf Coast Chapter, 200 South Hoover Blvd., Building 219, Suite 120, Tampa, FL 33609, or LifePath Hospice House, 3725 Upper Creek Drive, Ruskin, FL 33573.
