Jack Howard Seelye
Jack Howard Seelye, age 96, a longtime resident of Sun City Center, passed away June 23 at LifePath Hospice.
Husband to Mary Seelye for 58 years, he is survived by son Dick Folkerth, daughter Nancy Alguire, sister Jeannetta Wells, as well as seven grandchildren and four great-grandchildren.
A graduate of Antioch College in Yellow Springs, Ohio, Jack served as a captain in the U.S. Army Air Forces in the Pacific during World War II.
Relentlessly creative in his vocations and avocations alike, Jack first worked for the Jam Handy Organization, writing and producing instructional films, and spent the majority of his career as a sales and marketing executive with Kelly Services. He was a voracious reader, writer and lover of words, and an accomplished artist as well, having studied under acclaimed Florida painter and photographer Robert Chase.

Above all, his family and friends will remember him for his kindness, his endless good humor, his boundless curiosity, his keen intellect and his tremendous generosity of spirit.
A memorial service was held June 29 at the Freedom Plaza Auditorium.
The family requests that donations in Jack’s memory be made to the Military Family Support Trust, 1010 American Eagle Blvd., #303, Sun City Center, FL 33573.
